GX Marches is our Beleganjur set consisting of pieces written by various Balinese composers and Dan Bales. This high energy mobile set allows us to roam around festivals and bring music to unexpecting passers by. When we have enough space this set may also include our stilts walkers.

GX Dances is our stage set. This big band set up includes all the bells and whistles as well as original dances inspired by Balinese and Javanese dance vocabulary. This mellow set allows the audience to relax to the sonic blend of instruments from around the world as they watch the trance inducing movement of our dancers.

GX Chants is our Kecak workshop. Inspired by Balinese Kecak, our Monkey Chant workshop has been a staple of the GX repertoire since our origins in 2002. For over 10 years we’ve been bringing communities together to access the group conscious found in Kecak. Something magical occurs when a group of people are breathing, chanting, and moving together.
